Closed on Sunday

Lady May has the wonderful ability to entertain herself for hours and hours conjuring up imaginary fun. It is an especially useful quality for a girl without a sister to play with. However, the amusement typically ends with a huge mess that she does not want to clean up. On such an occasion, Lady May had been playing “Office”. She carefully constructed an elaborate cubicle and a desk, complete with family photos, a bulletin board, and an inbox. We exchanged correspondence for quite some time that afternoon. As the day wore on, she eventually lost interest and must have clocked out. Her office sat unattended for many days until Sir William decided to put her out of business. It was a Sunday when Lady May discovered her office had been demolished. As you can imagine, she wasn’t happy. I explained that because she had failed to report to work lately, we needed to use the space in a different way. Disgusted, she responded:

But mom, I don’t work on Sundays!

  1. Love the photo of Lady May with the "color" technique. Spending the day in Aurora Colorado, thought I would see what you are up to.
