Every week, the 5th graders are required to turn in a writing assignment. This week, the Squire was asked to make up lyrics to a popular song. In honor of Earth Day, and Miley Cyrus, and recycling and rhyming, he presents:

Marty from the EPA

He hopped off the plane at LAX
with a dream of environmentalism.
Welcome to the land of waste & excess,
is he gonna have an aneurysm?

Jumped in the cab,
here he is for the first time.
Look left & right all he sees are environmental crimes.
This is all so crazy!
Everybody seems so lazy!

His tummys turnin' and he’s feelin' kinda heart sick.
Too much smog and he’s nervous,
That's when the taxi man turned on the radio
and the Friends for Change was on
and the Friends For Change song was on
